Tai Chi
Our Tai Chi class follows Ancient Chinese Philosophy, where thought is put into motion. Chi, or life force energy, is in every living thing. When Chi is moving through the body effortlessly, we experience vitality and well-being. When the flow of Chi is obstructed or blocked, the body becomes vulnerable to disease and health complications. Our class focuses on the healthy flow of Chi, using our breath to guide our bodies through meditative movement, bringing balance and strength to our entire system.

This class includes The Yang 24 moves, and the 8 pieces of the Silver Brocade. In this low-impact, slow-motion exercise, you go without pausing through a series of motions. As you move, you breathe deeply and naturally, focusing your attention — as in some kinds of meditation — on your bodily sensations. Tai chi differs from other types of exercise in several respects. The movements are usually circular and never forced, the muscles are relaxed rather than tensed, the joints are not fully extended or bent, and connective tissues are not stretched. Tai chi can be easily adapted for anyone, regardless of limitations or health concerns, from the most fit to the elderly. Find your inner Chi, and let the effortless flow of life transform you!
